I'm new and happy to see this site exists! I am currenlty looking at building a two story 27.8sq Kitome home (yes I have printed off the kit home information regarding questions to ask!). The area I want to build on is low approximately 600ml below datum. I think I would prefer to build on stumps however I am after information regarding both stumps and slab. Pros and cons and questions I should ask. IE. Which is most suitable for swampy ground? Energy efficiency - how do I make stumps more energy efficient? Cost of both? Long term durability? Any advise appreciated! Be relentless in the pursuit of your dreams! - David Parkin Re: Kit Home in low lands, stumps or slab? 2Aug 25, 2006 2:50 pm Quote: The area I want to build on is low approximately 600ml below datum.
