Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Jun 20, 2012 9:35 am I'm currently working with a draftsman who doesnt have much experience with the council of the area that I live in. Although he has been good, there are aspects in dealing with the council that I felt would have helped sped up the process to get to where we are now. I'm at a stage where I am close to getting a permit (Notice of Decision to Grant of a Permit) but the town planner who we are dealing with have been quite a pain to deal and there are still quite a few "conditions" that we need to meet before we can get the actual permit. I have been recommended to use this other draftsman who has got a lot of experience with the council to do the actual "working drawings". I'm wondering if it is worth the hassle and has anyone had a similar experience? Re: Close to getting a permit and changing draftsman? 3Oct 04, 2012 5:07 am agree with tiljilpi but if the first guy hasnt done proper working drawings then re-drawing might not be such a big thing. some planning drawings are so basic, and sounds like changes might be coming anyway. leighton at clark new homes How much are you ahead in payments compared to where the build is at?
