Re: Small bedroom 3x3 sq m design? 3Jun 03, 2012 9:43 pm hao Hi, can anyone give me some idea of fitting a bed and a desk+chair into a 3x3 bedroom? Sample/display photo will be great. Thank you! What size bed are you thinking of putting in there? Do you need a bedside table(s)? What is the actual layout of the room? (ie. where is the door/window, is there a wall taken up by a BIR's, where are the powerpoints, etc) You'll need to give more info before anyone can suggest anything realistic/useful... Some people apparently have nothing better to do than comment on other people's sigs. Re: Small bedroom 3x3 sq m design? 4Jun 04, 2012 10:15 am Hi, just a suggestion. The best way I find to see what you can fit where in a room (3 x 3 or any other size) is to either mark it out in an existing room where you live now or do it on the floor of your garage. Mark where the doors/windows are and then use newspaper or masking tape to play around with where you would position a bed, bedside cabinet, drawers etc based on the actual size of the furniture you'd be putting in there. If you're worried the room is on the small side, consider putting fitted drawers in the wardrobe (assuming it's a double) - saves quite a bit of room. Good luck! cheers Donna Re: Small bedroom 3x3 sq m design? 5Jun 09, 2012 8:35 pm I've got a 3*3.2m room's and think they are small enough. You could fit a single bed + table into the room, they're would not be much room left Re: Small bedroom 3x3 sq m design? 6Nov 05, 2012 8:03 pm Ikea does a double bunk bed (bed on top) where you can put a couch or desk underneath Today is under construction. Thank you for understanding. Re: Small bedroom 3x3 sq m design? 7Nov 06, 2012 9:15 am Graph paper. Draw the room (say 50mm = 1m) and then draw your furniture to the same scale. Cut out; move around until you're happy. Much easier than moving the actual furniture umpteen times. Make sure you mark doors, windows and wardrobes on the plan. 3m x 3m is an adequate kid's room - ours were only 2.9 x 3 in our old house and one had a built in wardrobe protruding into that space, so the floor area was actually smaller. We had a single bed, small desk & chair, bedside table, tallboy and a narrow bookshelf in there. That still left room for the hinged double wardrobe doors to open. What you can fit will really depend on the layout of the room, as in where doors & windows etc are. Space-saving furniture (such as a raised bed with desk under, or captain's bunk with drawers) will make the room seem much bigger. Re: Small bedroom 3x3 sq m design? 8Nov 06, 2012 1:17 pm We have a 3x3 bedroom in our new reno (used to be the kitchen!) It's very tight for a double bed with other stuff, but we've got bunks, a 2.5 metre long wardrobe, an upright piano, a bedside and a computer desk and chair in it. It's tight, but it's nopt as though a 10 year old entertains in there! It's just for sleeping, playing piano, doing homework and getting dressed - and she only does one at a time, so no problem...... Personally, considering your layout (study/work desks in bedrooms), I don't think you have any other option but to leave NW windows and make them as big as possible e.g.… 7 10470 Hi, I'm planning to build a new house and wanted to get some feedback on the different window designs for a master bedroom.
