Browse Forums General Discussion 1 May 08, 2012 10:19 pm Hey folks. We are about ready to start our renovation. There is only one thing holding us back. A home elevator. We kind of have to have one. We have a choice of a water hydraulic or an oil hydraulic elevator. The water ones cost about $1o,000 less on average than the oil ones. I like the price, but I want to know why some people say you should not get a water hydraulic lift. Is it because they are bad, unreliable etc? Can anyone tell me what the difference is and why one would be better than the other. I have tried searching on the net but there is no opinions from everyday folks. I can only find what the companies say about their own products. Thanks for your time folks. I really hope someone can help us out with this.
