Browse Forums General Discussion Re: Buying Land North of the River 2May 04, 2012 10:57 am there are quite a few on here that have. type in the name of the suburb/s your interested in, into the search box and that will give you a heap of threads that could lead you in the right direction Re: Buying Land North of the River 6May 14, 2012 8:01 am Yes. Choosing a good developer is essential. As PEET own alot of land north of the river Im looking for other developers with a good reputation before we pick land to develop a house for investment. Re: Buying Land North of the River 7May 14, 2012 8:00 pm I picked land that would grow the most over 6-8 years that would make me the most money in growth. Being next to whiteman park, which could be getting a theme park there (Eventually) and the new train line will eventually go through there one day is gonna send house prices through the roof. Re: Buying Land North of the River 8May 22, 2012 11:49 am Personally I think you should buy land in an area that makes you feel at home, the developer will eventually move out and the verges and parks that look so nice when you buy the land will eventually be left to the council to maintain so maybe pick an area which has good council maintenance. Once you've paid your deposit and settled on the land you will have very little to do with the developer anyway. We've just gone through Satterley (Beaumaris Beach) and they seemed good. Re: Buying Land North of the River 9May 22, 2012 6:37 pm I think Satterley might be a good option. We first bought through PEET Pty www.peet.com.au and have an awful experience where they built a wall without planning permission and would not pay the $2200 to correct it, even after being ordered to do it by the Joondalup Shire. We had to take them to court to resolve it. Even though PEET are now offer a PEET Car giveaway, PEET wouldnt put right their mistake... so yes the developer is very important to us for our next development.
