Hi everybody-
We are considering the option of buying our first home given the current 'buyers market'. In terms of a buying an existing newish property, we are deliberating between Roxy, Fawkner, Truganina and Craigieburn.
We have driven around all the suburbs a lil bit but it would be good to get the advice of somebody who lives there.
Some of the concerns:
- availability of take away places/ corner shops/ green grocers
- nearest medical centres
- traffic to the CBD during business hours
- how about trains/parking at the stations
And on a long term basis,
- Public schools, private schools around
- Quality of the build (noticed some of the houses north of Sayers Rd with poor construction)
- Is flooding of homes a risk with Truganina
- In case we decide to sell the house after a bit, which suburb would have better capital gain
- And in case we move interstate for work, which suburb would have better rental returns
Any advice would be beneficial.
Cheers Zacks & Mimz
