Browse Forums General Discussion Re: Water seeping through slab in a new house 61Apr 10, 2012 1:41 pm No problem, mgilla. Everyone's different. I hope I didn't come across as being blindly "for" certain people, I try to judge everyone's post on its own merit (regardless of who the author is) - and there are quite a few bits and pieces from different posts written by different people (you definitely not excluded ) with which I agree. But my overall message is - let's give him a break, it's not all that bad As far as I can see, this thread has so far split the 'contributors' into 2 major parties - 'mostly agree' and 'mostly disagree'. Such is the nature of us humans , we tend to read into things differently - but isn't that great!?! As long as we don't go too far. But hey, what's too far??!! I guess it again depends on who the reader is. Umhhh, and this is from someone who initially went 'oh no, another one of "those" threads' ... My signature is distracting people from my wise posts ... Re: Water seeping through slab in a new house 62Apr 10, 2012 1:50 pm I agree with what Lex has said above 100% - let's just move on from this now (it was unfortunate that it was brought up again but there you go, life is full of unexpected surprises). Some people apparently have nothing better to do than comment on other people's sigs. You keep making mine and others points... thus zero cred. Keep going, you obviously haven't got deep enough to strike water or oil yet but the days just started! Cheers! Re: Water seeping through slab in a new house 64Apr 12, 2012 8:55 am Yep my credibility is trashed just because you say it is so. Good job mate. You've scored your point - now can we get this back on topic? Some people apparently have nothing better to do than comment on other people's sigs. Re: Water seeping through slab in a new house 65Apr 12, 2012 8:58 am People-lets stay on topic here please. Otherwise I shall be forced to lock the topic. Well, the builder has installed downpipes and aggi drains. The water has reduced to almost nil inside the house. It has not rained much in the last 2 weeks so it is hard to say if it is actually fixed the problem. Not sure if it has caused any other damage to the the integrity of the slab. Thanks for your advice. So far i have not noticed any issues with doors and windows. Builder advised they will organise drainers to inspect 2 weeks ago but no further… 7 18800 13 6632 if it's the look that you're not happy with, the easiest option would probably be to spray paint it all into the same color as the walls so it blends in. there might not… 3 4187 |
