Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Feb 24, 2012 4:45 pm We are about to renovate our 1980's kitchen, starting with: keeping the overhead cupboards, which are Tasmanian Oak, stained and lacquered with all the mouldings, so we have to sand it all back to bare wood and then, try to match them with the timber in new cupboards and bank of drawers for below the bench. Anybody have any clever tricks,or ideas, as I can see we will have trouble with the old sanded back timber doors, trying to match the colours (stains). Cheers, liznbev Re: kitchen timber cupboards reno: 3Feb 25, 2012 10:16 am Oh no, dont paint over Tassy Oak! Once you have (thoroughly) sanded the doors etc why not give them to your joiner so he can match the new ones? Arfur Hi, Can anyone give me approx. price for overhead cupboards. TIA 0 16617 Engineering timber is certainly a less fuss option, times cheaper to supply and install and better withstands humidity. 1 15924 Hello It is good to have a planned bathroom reno to suit your budget and design, living for 10 years I think you need a bathtub 4 10381 |
