Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Feb 16, 2012 4:06 pm Hi Has anyone used CDC to building double storey house under Holroyd City Council are NSW. Appreciate if you can explain the process involved. KR Avi Re: Complying Development-Holroyd Council 2Feb 17, 2012 4:43 pm Hi, I am no expert but will tell you what I can. We were hoping to get a CDC and I found this link giving information http://housingcode.planning.nsw.gov.au/ In the section marked "About The NSW Housing Code" you can download the "User Guide on the NSW Housing Code" which gives a lot of information. Basically you have to check if your plan complies with all the requirements listed. Our house plan looked like it would comply but it turned out our block of land was specifically excluded as "coastal". We are not in your council area but our council would not give me much info over the phone, they kept referring me back to the NSW gov. I hope this helps you as a CDC would have saved us time and fees so I think it is worth checking. Re: Complying Development-Holroyd Council 3Feb 17, 2012 5:39 pm Our 2 storey build has been processed as a CDC, (different Council) but all the paperwork was done by our builder, so can't give any assist with the process. Suffice to say it seemed fairly painless and uncomplicated from our point of view. It is a pain as I thought I had everything done correctly to meet the guidelines and now have to make a few facade changes to ensure I comply Re: Complying Development-Holroyd Council 6Feb 21, 2012 6:53 pm avi2prasad Hi JJ1 Did you sell your old house or was it the demolition cost approx$4k Hi avi, actually gave our old house away, "free gratis and for nothing". We did have a quote for $6000 to demolish it but fortunately was able to give away. Final clearing of the land cost $3500.00 dvestate, probably won't be the last time you have to make changes before its all finished !! Hi All, I'm new here!
