Also, as I understand it all PMs can be demanded under freedom of information by a court. I was told this in a briefing in a very large company, whatever notes or emails I make about anyone can be demanded by a court. How far can i go?? Re: HOMEONE FORUM GUIDE AND FAQ. 34Nov 27, 2009 3:59 pm Hi, This is primarily a question to Site Admin. Over my short time here at H1, I've become involved in looots of Topics (by posting at least one reply, or by starting them myself). So, when I click "View your posts", the resulting listing of threads is getting quite long. There are some threads that I no longer want listed when I use that action, as it makes it too messy and it's getting harder to spot those that I want. Q: Is it possible to get rid of certain threads so they simply don't appear in my list (until, and if, I post something on them again)? Or, can this site be modified to add that functionality, like a check box or hyperlink next to each listed thread, where you could click something like "Don't include in View My Posts" ? Also, what does it mean to bump topic? Would it be deleted or become invisible or what? (yeah, , this is from someone who obviously uses social sites a lot ) Thanks! edit - was thinking of "thread" but writing "post" My signature is distracting people from my wise posts ... Re: HOMEONE FORUM GUIDE AND FAQ. 35Nov 27, 2009 4:07 pm bumping your posts is when no replys are made and your topic drops down the list. Sometimes you may wish to bump it back up to the top again and the thread poster has that function as a button on the screen. Click it and it is bumped back to the top. As for your posts, well no they won't be able to be made invisible. They are there for prosperity. If you want your posts to be managed you can maybe create a folder in your book marks to keep track of topics you post in. This is not something I can see being available with the forum creators. OK, so "bump topic" means 'put it to the top of the list'. Tried, worked. Fu Manchu As for your posts, well no they won't be able to be made invisible. They are there for prosperity. Why not ? I'm sure the developers would be more than happy to add this feature! This would make it quite flexible. (Not Homeone) OK, I'll try Bookmarks (until the developers add that feature ... hmm .. that might take a while, as in forever ... never mind, will test this!) Thanks for the reply! It overwrites the timestamp of the very last post, whether it be your own (the topic starter's) or someone else's reply !! Data accuracy goes out of the window ... not a very good design. (and yes, I know it's not H1's fault!!) (btw, I don't think I've used the naughty smily before ... this was a good practice !!) My signature is distracting people from my wise posts ... Re: HOMEONE FORUM GUIDE AND FAQ. 38Nov 27, 2009 6:52 pm Oh, man, I can't believe it! You can only "bump" a topic once !!! Unbelivable ... Well, hopefully they coded a timer ... maybe it will behave differently tomorrow ...
