Re: Henley Emperor 45 5Jan 20, 2012 8:19 pm Best wishes, Ilias! We knocked down and rebuilt in 2009 with Henley. Most stressful thing I've ever done (moving, storage, dealing with neighbours and Councils...) but overall a pretty smooth ride with Henley, and pretty happy with the results! Good luck!! I thought I would look a little silly taking in the Canon 5dii with strobe and lens into Cosham). Hey Stormygirl...we spent many hours looking through your blog..we have chosen the Stanford facade..very much inspired by your pics/blog..we too are trying to achieve a classic look. Thank you all again Ilias http://buildingwithhenley.blogspot.com/ Re: Henley Emperor 45 7Jan 20, 2012 9:38 pm Ilias, I think it would have been impressive if you had of taken your Canon in, to the color selection. I would have liked to see their faces if you did Good luck with your build. It is confusing, we had allready picked out most of what we wanted. But you get in there and it's like your brain just dies after a while. Re: Henley Emperor 45 8Jan 21, 2012 7:44 pm Thanks deb 17...yes I agree..it is very confusing.. HAVE WE PICKED THE RIGHT COLOURS?? stay tuned for pics http://buildingwithhenley.blogspot.com/ Ilias Re: Henley Emperor 45 9Jan 23, 2012 2:33 pm I took photos of tiles, carpet, benchtop colours etc. at the colour appointment and they have proven invaluable down the track....... However we did forget some things that we had chosen, so its a nice surprise when we get things fitted eg. internal door handles, taps etc. and it looks really good ! Are you modifing your emperor, or going with the standard layout? We have chosen the grand meals option, but we opted to increase the bedroom instead of the TV room. We have chosen the Stanford facade due to budget. We are trying to change the lintel to the portico to arched instead of straight. We are not having much luck. Henley mgt. are saying they don't like changing their facades; however, I have seen many of their facades changed significantly. We will try again at tender stage. Any advice from anybody in relation to changing the facade a little. Is there anybody out there that has changed the facade? This might help our case! Cheers Ilias Re: Henley Emperor 45 11Jan 25, 2012 9:35 am Didn't make any structural changes to the facade, but opted for render instead of stackstone..... The $50k excluded demolition. Allow a further $10-$20k depending on type, size and asbestos.
