Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Jan 16, 2012 12:08 am Hi all,
We’re having a hard time picking our external colours at the moment, so we thought we might try and get some opinions on here, see if that might help us out or give us some new ideas. So this is the facade we’re going with: http://img4.imageshack.us/img4/7417/metrofacadegaragerhs.jpg Some components we’re quite happy with what we’ve chosen: Roof – Monier Horizon tiles – Kava – http://www.monier.com.au/Uploads/Download/78/Horizon_Kava_HIRES.jpg Gutters/Fascias – Colorbond Dune Bricks (ie the area surrounding the garage door) – PGH Blue Steel Flash - http://www.pghclay.com.au/bricks/Show_142.aspx Windows – Dowell Pearl white gloss But other parts we’re having trouble with, and keen to get some feedback on: Cladding (second floor above the garage) – Dulux Dieskau Render or Moroka finish on main wall (ie where the windows are) – Dulux Malay Grey Garage door – Colorbond Surfmist (also tempted by a Colorbond cedar look) We’ve had a go at mocking something up, to see what it will look like, here: http://img835.imageshack.us/img835/7435/malaygreymock.jpg (Though we haven’t modified the roof in that pic yet, so it will be lighter.) Would it look too dull/cold? Do we need some warmer colours in the mix? We would really appreciate any comments or suggestions from anyone here. Thanks! Good point re the garage door - we're now thinking perhaps the Gliderol Caoba Dawn might be a good option, to add some warmth. Didn't realise this was even available until we stumbled upon someone else's blog tonight. Just to clarify - when you mentioned that the location of particular colours "might be the issue", did you have anything specific in mind? What would you move around if you had the choice? The Dulux colour consultants are awesome. If you show them the photos they should be able to figure it out for you straight away 1 1613 Thanks Pulse, thats really helpful and very much appreciated.
