Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Jan 15, 2012 10:49 am Hello, We would like to install a floating floor to the entire living area of our house including the kitchen. Is liminate timber flooring the same thing as a floating floor i.e. a click-in one? I saw on a renovation show the other day they were laying timber flooring over top of tiles. So my question is, is this the norm? Reason being is that half the area is carpet and half is tiles, so I assumed we would have to get rid of the tiles? However if we just take away the carpet and underlay, I'm not sure it would be level with the tiles? Please help! Thanks a lot Thanks, that's the motivation I needed to give it a try sooner rather than one day! 4 2983 Thanks Simon, I guess I'm no concerned with the volume of the noise rather that dead and hollow sound and feel that is associated with floating floors.
