I guess in days gone by we all had chimenys and that was the common antenna mounting point (straps and corner bracket), with chimenys all but disappearing it is pretty normal to attach to the facia or wall using an L shaped GA pipe. I'm sure you can get roof mount brackets but you'll need to be careful to ensure you don't introduce leaks. I have heaps of room up there and was able to point the antannae toward Mt Cootha where the transmitters are. Signal is perfect. DIY, Home Maintenance & Repair Brilliant - thanks so much for that.
