Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Feb 17, 2008 11:26 am Hi There everyone
I am having someone come out to quote me on a front fence for my current house however I am really confused as I am unsure of the type of fence that would ideally suit the home- I do not want to spend a drastic amount as I simply could not justify it due to not having long-term plans in this home (But I do want a fence) Does anyone have any websites of different types of fencing? I guess it is difficult for you all to have a clear picture of the home without seeing it to give an honest opinion but for what its worth I will give a quick description of the home. The home is only 15 months old so relatively new and modern (Brick Home) with a cream color Facade at the front. Someone I know did suggest a cream color picket fence but I am not so convinced Opinions anyone Re: Which Front fence would suit 2Feb 17, 2008 11:58 am One of the guys at work just had a pipe fence put in - I think it was 3k or there abouts.
He had a brush fence - till the louts lit it up and it burnt down as well as his front lawn and nearly his house while he was away on holidays. My parents had a pipe fence installed and the installer profiled the ground - and then cut the bottom of the fence so it matched the rise and fall of the ground. So a pipe fence over a large grassed area - does not have any uneven gaps under it. It looks really professional. Basically under the bottom rail it has longer and shorter sections under it and the gap under the very bottom of the fence is a consistent gap the whole length of the fence without any ground works being required - except for the post holes. You can get a different array of picket styles from federation to the more modern types. Any reputable fencer should have photos of work they have done.
