Independent Inspector... anyone aside from Kev?

As you all know, we want to enlist the services of an independent inspector (frame, pre-plaster and pre-handover).

Unfortunately, we've been contacting Kevin but couldn't get hold of him.

I wonder if you know anyone aside from Kev?

We're nearing completion of frame stage and we're quite desperate now.

Sorry VJ, not much help here but hubby generally leaves a voicemail msg and emails kev as well ( google on newhomeinspections)
kev has a reputation of picking up small faults and M dont quite like this. I think this should be used to our benefit.
Our building has come to a screeching halt and we do not have any explanation(yet) Kev was to do the inspection last Tuesday and is now postponed till further notice. Looking at all your pictures I suspect they have forgotten to do our balcony! we thought it gets done in brick completely but I think they put the balcony doors and then realised oops where is the balcony :lol:

Hmm...
so at least he is still around,.
and not on holidays...
but how come he wasn't responding to all our calls/emails?

Hi I can suggest the services of Phillips Property Inspections ......

I have just used them for a handover / final and I was astounded at the lack of workmanship and faults he found , to which my builder wont be happy when he receives there detailed report today.

Honestly he was superb , the veritable laundry list he provided with faults and just downright ** workmanship ( which we didnt pickup ) will come to a huge surprise to our " builder" - I use the term loosely.
I guess now the battle starts ........I'll keep everyone updated with progress on one of the forum pages.

Sorry to plug-in this discussion...

While browsing Kevin's website (New Home Inspections) I noticed that S1m0nds is not in the list. That got me a bit worried... Anybody here building with S1m0nds and getting Kevin to inspect their work?

Heres where it used to say Simmonds...now it says:

Some builders names have been removed from right about here on this list due to their threats of legal action. If you're considering a builder whose name doesn't appear in this list please give us a call and we'll gladly inform you of our past experiences with them.

Hmmmmm. Interesting i think

Yes, I noticed that too...

so I thought the builder was one of these:

I just got off the phone with Kevin....he's sounds so nice...

Will be sending him some infor for him to go through and hopefully he'll be onsite soon.
