Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Oct 19, 2011 6:33 pm hi, we had a house built by dennis homes and it was sold as a 6 star home, we had previously had a contract drawn up by jg king and they had given us a prelimenary certificate of energy effiency (i can't remember exactly what it was called) that deal fell through when they told us it would cost another $30,000 site costs, anyway we never got any certificate from dennis to say what energy rating our house was and when i asked them about it they said that the contract was proof of the house energy efficiency as it says that the house will be built to meet 6 star standards and that they dont do certificates, does this sound right or should we have a certificate as jg king were going to give us, any advice would be appreciated, thanks. Re: certificate of energy efficiency 2Oct 19, 2011 8:49 pm The energy efficiency should appear on the final drawings that would have been submitted to council to receive the building permit. You should have a copy of these drawings as well.
