Draftsman charges.
Hi all,
We are paying our draftsman in four intallments of $637.50 (So $2550 all up). We've paid the first installment of $637.50 and then a second intallment of $637.50. He drew up plans ready for council. Once the plans were in council we saw something on them we wanted to change so we got them back from council (not charge, council was happy to release them and have us resubmit later) and added to the house a carport and a linen cupboard which pushed our house out a further 45cm.
For this alteration our draftsman has billed us a further $500...
Does this seem fair/the done thing?
If people think yes it's fair then well and good, we'll pay it. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't getting fooled here. He seems a nice guy and not the sort to bill unnecessarily but a few people I've spoken to from council have seemed really surprised that the the draftsman billing us again.
WDYT?
