We are currently building and we are fighting with the builder on a couple of issues. We decided we would like to get other opinions. One of the issues we have is how and where they ran a condensation pipe from the ducted heating unit. They ran the pipe from the unit to the roof gutter by cutting out the back of the fascia and gutter and then bogged it with silicone. We had a plumber look at the job and he had a few issues with what they did which he put in a written report to us. 1. Our plumber said that the back of the fascia and gutter should never be cut into. 2. They have cut the back of the gutter well below the over flow slots at the front of the gutter creating a lower over flow level which has potential for water to flood back into wall. 3. Our plumber said the condensation pipe should have been run to drain.
Also can I ask for your opinion on the roof tile finish. Our plumber out of courtesy pointed out that in that area it measures roughly half a roof tile so instead of cutting the tile for a neat finish they have simply smashed them in half and slotted them in there!!
What do you guy's think of the condensation pipe job and the way they have finished the roof tile's off.
