I've just started contacting providers to find out what options we have for phone/broadband in our new house. We currently use phone + adsl broadband through optus. Optus have told us that we can only connect to cable at the new house - yet telstra have told us we can only connect to adsl! (adsl2 I think)
What are the benefits of going with either? Optus told me they would need to come out and do more work to put in the cable, whereas telstra could connect through the cabling the builder has already put in. We have paid the builder for the phone connection, already have the telstra box on the house plus 3 phone sockets! Not too keen to have more work done - how easy is it to go to cable and is it worth it?
Thanks for any thoughts!
