I am looking for some suggestions in regards to tile grout that is looking abit worn. I am toying with the thought of re-tiling due to me not liking the tiles but ill leave that subject for later............ Now back to the grout:lol: I am wondering whether it would be worth calling someone to clean the grout????????? how effective would it be??? How easy of a job is it to re-do the grout (not me doing it, but calling someone to do it) ??? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated Amber, What do you mean when you say "the grout is looking a bit worn"? Grout normally doesn't wear. It certainly can become soiled and sometimes stained. Being below the tile surface, grout doesn't wear unless maybe acids have been used on a regular basis. Acids will etch and gradually eat away at the grout. Got any pics? If you aren't yet ready to re-tile, I certainly suggest having a professional tile cleaner in to clean & restore the grout and tiles. Which suburb & area are you in? (I can see if I can locate a good contractor for you). Re-grouting is a possibility, but I don't recommend it. If you are not keen on the tiles, why spend money on re-grouting? Im sorry for the confusion when I stated it was looking abit worn, I meant that it is looking abit soiled and I cannot stand it looking like that which is why I would like it professionally cleaned. You are probably right in regards to having it cleaned rather than re-grout if I am planning on changing the tiles in the near future. Thanks splashers, that makes sense. The waterproofing guy used this Davco product, I will raise the issue with builder and hopefully get resolved with him - if not… 2 10214 Builder said that he was looking at having no cornices up the top in the laundry.
