Good evening folks....
We have a sliding door that is hidden in the cavity when open (forget the correct term for this style).
We are thinking of extending our kitchen slightly, but to do so, our only option (that we can think of at this stage) would be to add an extra bank of cupboards up a section of the wall that actually houses the sliding door.
Does anyone know if we would be able to attach cupboards to this or not??
Not sure yet if it would be one big cupboard (like a pantry), or an extension of the bench with overhead cupboards and under cupboards (probably won't be this option because currently our kitchen is defined by a wall panel - the width of the bench - that used to be the back wall - and not sure if this is structural and has to remain. If so, no way to 'extend' the bench beyond it but thought cupboards on the other side might still be ok?? (especially pantry style where the ground might take the bulk of the weight??) Or.... it could be a wall oven cavity...... or if it's an absolute no-no to build over it, we could potentially make it the fridge cavity. But just wondering what our options might be with this section of the sliding door cavity.
Thanks to anyone that might know.
