Your alfresco under the roof line would be included but the concrete slab wont be.. We left a deposit with them after the salesman took us through the Montana (T range) house and we asked him to point out everything that was considered as "extras". He pointed out a total of 4 items and i made sure that was all there was because it was a "as displayed" promotion. Unfortnately come time to colour selections, they let us down majorly with 96% being an upgrade when i asked the lady at Spectra, the salesman advised everything else in the display was standard, she said.. ohh we get so many people come through being mislead by that promotion.. gee ya reckon? We then withdrew our deposit with them because it just put a big damper on the build with them.. All the best if you do proceed with them but go through every detail with a magnifying glass. Hi, I am building with Carlisle, a T range home and I got a slab laid for alfresco and I havn't heard that they do it without a slab but may be I am wrong.. There is a seperate thread for Carlisle Homes and you will be able to get ideas from the people who are already building with them there.. Their current sales promotion for the Carlisle Homes Affinity range (which the Atlantique Mk II falls within) clearly lists a slab to the alfresco floor and the alfresco is included in all Affinity homes (specific to your house design), so I don't think they have a leg to stand on unless you're on a different (earlier) promotion (and to be honest I would lean on them to include it even if you are). A quick look at the promotion on their own website should clear this up really if they have any common sense Rotcehs - it is false advertising otherwise. Some people apparently have nothing better to do than comment on other people's sigs. Hi there we are building the Madison (T Range) and I am surprised that 96% of things on display were upgrades....we infact were surprised that how little we had to upgrade. Again Montana is a different home but it would be very misleading if the sales guy says that all u see is all u get (which is what we expected and got). Can you give some examples of what was an upgrade which should be under the as display promo ? As for the Alfresco slab our is included. Try to get in touch with your sales consultant and get him/her involved. rotcehs "It is always a requirement of Carlisle Homes that the client pours a finished concrete over the concrete slab to the alfresco slab after settlement." To me this sounds like the slab for Alfresco is already included. 26/2 - Sales 23/3 - Colours 31/3 - Tender 14/4 - Contract 7/5 - Taps 12/6 - Site start 15/6 - Slab 27/6 - Frame 1/8 - Lockup/Fixing 29/9 - PCI 25/10 - Handover Re: Alfresco slab - Atlantique MKII...Is it or isn't it prov 8Aug 01, 2011 4:05 pm Madison27AA Hi there we are building the Madison (T Range) and I am surprised that 96% of things on display were upgrades....we infact were surprised that how little we had to upgrade. Can you give some examples of what was an upgrade which should be under the as display promo ? Hi Madison27AA, We visited the Carlisle office on about 4 occasions and spoke with the consultant, walked through the house with him and said we love this house and if you can point out everything, and i mean every little thing that is an upgrade, please tell us as we'd love to build as per display selecting the same colour benches/cupboards carpets/tiles everything.. and he said yes everything that you see is included aside from the tiled feature walls in the bathrooms, the wallpaper, lightfittings and water feature.. everything else is included. We then decided we wanted to build and left a deposit and selected a few minor upgrades to get a quote, we fell maybe a thousand or so more than our budget which was ok because there'd be no further costs considering it was gonna be fixed.. When we got to Spectra, we asked the consultant if she had the list of colours used in the Williams Landing displays because we wanted everything as per those schemes, and thats where we found out that there were in fact too many upgrades including: the tiles in the display were an upgrade (specifically asked the consultant about this) the carpets and its underlay (also enquired about this) the 2 colour laminate cupboards in the kitchen also an upgrade, the bricks - upgrade, the motar - upgrade, the garage door - upgrade, the bath seals - upgrade, the handles - upgrade, the the type of doors - upgrade etc.. the list went on (as per display right) My partner and i were like.. what the? We were really disappointed and thought even if it just costed us an additional $12-15k to have what we wanted, he was misleading from the beginning and we didn't appreciate it. We both had a bad feeling about it afterward and decided to pull the pin on Carlisle and the sales consultant came back saying if he could give us some freebies to keep us what would it be, and we said nothing, we have decided not to build with them.. I still think their floor plans and homes are great, just didnt like how we were mislead Hope it all works out for you guys though Re: Alfresco slab - Atlantique MKII...Is it or isn't it prov 10Aug 01, 2011 8:32 pm rotcehs A bit of contention between Carlisle Homes and myself...All through the sales phase, our salesman assures us that a slab is provided for the alfresco area on an Atlantique home...Now fast forward to tender phase and we are informed that now they are not. I am building an Atlantique 2 The slab is only provided in the Alfesco if you are building the extented Alfresco Re: Alfresco slab - Atlantique MKII...Is it or isn't it prov 11Aug 01, 2011 8:52 pm I see what you mean. Fortunately we were given the as displayed sale promo guide which showed what is covered in the as displayed sale. Fortunately our SC never oversold the product. We went home and made sure that we understood the promo correctly because some of the wordings were not very clear but a quick phone call to our SC cleared our doubts. (I guess we were a bit more cautious after our first experience with some other volume builder) As for the 2 tone - since we got the perspex cabinets we never felt the need for the 2 tone as it did the same effect. But I understand if the SC sold you 2 tone plus the perspex then that not right. Again very surprised that your SC said that the timber garage door is included (especially when they have not even used it). Anyways good luck with ur hunt to find a house with all ur inclusions 26/2 - Sales 23/3 - Colours 31/3 - Tender 14/4 - Contract 7/5 - Taps 12/6 - Site start 15/6 - Slab 27/6 - Frame 1/8 - Lockup/Fixing 29/9 - PCI 25/10 - Handover Re: Alfresco slab - Atlantique MKII...Is it or isn't it prov 14Aug 02, 2011 2:32 pm rotcehs To conclude the story...An operations manager gave my wife a call and in a rude & blunt way said no the alfresco slab is not included. We had a similar situation with a very rude sales rep, it bothered us so much we completely ruled that whole company out as we did not want to give them our business Re: Alfresco slab - Atlantique MKII...Is it or isn't it prov 15Aug 02, 2011 3:23 pm rotcehs To conclude the story...An operations manager gave my wife a call and in a rude & blunt way said no the alfresco slab is not included.
