Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Jul 25, 2011 11:49 pm Town planning done, building permit done, now have just realised the draftperson has gone and drawn one of the driveways where a light pole exists. For some reason the idiot didn't get us to organise a proper land surveyor and instead did it himself. At no time did he advise us to get a land surveyor to do it. This is obviously extremely negligent on his half, as now we have to pay $6-7k just to move the light pole if possible, whereas we could have designed everything to avoid putting a driveway there. Re: Draftpersons drew a driveway where there is a lightpole. 2Jul 26, 2011 9:35 am Did you engage the draftperson directly, or are you going through a builder? And did he actually go out to the block himself and survey it himself, or was he relying on plans provided? I personaly know some other people in Brisbane who had there house reno'd and moved the double carport from one side of the property to the other, council approved carport, but declined the request to cut down tree on the footpath blocking entry to carport. To my understanding early saw cuts are to control shrinkage cracks, so doing them now would be pointless. Control joints may reduce ugly cracking during periods of soil… 3 9857 Hi all I need a guidance on how far I need to space expansion joints in the concrete driveway and its type (keyway/foam.) Contraction joints are at 3m max for a 125 slab. Thanks 0 10939 |
