There are lots of cats and kittens available for adoption at Ingrid's Haven in Broadford (45 mins from Mernda). Why not adopt a rescue instead? http://www.ingridshaven.net.au/ I discovered Ingrid's Haven in 2007. We finally adopted our first kitten last year at eight weeks old, he's now one. Gorgeous tabby with a fantastic temperament and lives very happily indoors (though we are hoping to build him a cat run outside at our soon-to-be-built new house). Honestly Ingrid is an amazing woman doing amazing work, check out the website and give her a call. You/your sister will not be disappointed! Please note not all kittens are shown online as they can come and go quite quick. Our boy below. (I couldn't pick just one pic!)
