Does anyone know of any video intercom retailers in Melbourne?
I've searched the web and there appears to be manufacturer websites but nothing like a retailer stocking a range of manufactuers and brands.

I have only seen crappy ones other than the EOS (http://www.eos.com.au/ ) one - Futuro 7/10. You could go to the HIA HomeShow they had heaps of ppl selling them there when it was in SYD. Re: Video intercom retailers 3Nov 21, 2011 2:17 pm Am just wanting to bump this thread to see if anyone has any info on video intercoms - as the OP mentions, when you search on line you mainly get the manufacturers websites...... The video quality is better than HDTV. I purchased a mobotix T24 IP video camera. Then I purchased several IP video phones from grandstream. You can setup the doorbell to ring all your phones and when you answer you see the video of who's on the front door. The phone doubles up as a VOIP phone that makes calls over the internet. Expect to spend $1-2k though. Aiphone makes much cheaper options with less video quality. my house blog: http://sugarloafdrivebuild.blogspot.com/ Re: Video intercom retailers 5Nov 22, 2011 9:01 pm Hi I purchased mine from http://www.automotionplus.com/store/. I needed a unit that could work over a long distance - my gate is about 125m from the house. They seem to have a good range of units - I got a 2 wire system with two monitors and two buttons at the gate unit as we have an in-law flat. I've seen it being sold at RadioParts for $250. I don't know how well it performs, as I haven't bought it. Does anyone have any opinion on this product? Is "wireless" good enough for a simple intercom (i.e. I'm not talking about for use as a security camera, but for simple intercom)? 13-08 Moved in 13-05 Build restart 13-04 VMIA compensation 12-08 Builder liquidation 12-03 Fixing 11-12 Lockup 11-11 Frame 11-09 Slab 11-09 Start 11-07 Contract 10-11 2K deposit 10-06 Titled land Re: Video intercom retailers 8Nov 24, 2011 8:15 am I purchased one from its security in Melbourne. All their stuff can run as a SIP phone, so with the right back end infrastructure you can basically dial into the cameras from anywhere. Logitech Alert Indoor/Outdoor security cameras seems to be easier to the pocket than Axis/Mobotix, and the DIY setup and features seems to be targetted to non-geeks, but I haven't purchased them yet. 13-08 Moved in 13-05 Build restart 13-04 VMIA compensation 12-08 Builder liquidation 12-03 Fixing 11-12 Lockup 11-11 Frame 11-09 Slab 11-09 Start 11-07 Contract 10-11 2K deposit 10-06 Titled land Re: Video intercom retailers 11Nov 24, 2011 10:19 am MattyT The Mobotix stuff is great gear, I'm looking to get the T24, as well as a couple Q24 security cameras. He supplied me with 5 x HAI IP video cameras (they are HD 1280x720), the mobotix door camera (it's 3MP with a 180 degree field of view, and has a doorbell on it), Grandstream IP videophones to put inside the house as well as a POE switch to hook them all up. my house blog: http://sugarloafdrivebuild.blogspot.com/ Re: Video intercom retailers 14Nov 24, 2011 7:06 pm fantastic. thanks for the info Built the Havana 3 by McDonald Jones Homes Hi everyone!
