Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Jul 04, 2011 5:59 pm While visiting me for another reason, the Council inspector pointed out that an expansion joint in one of the brick walls hasn't been caulked. It looks like a simple enough job, but I don't want to do the wrong thing. Can someone tell me what caulking product is suitable for the job? Re: Caulking an expansion joint 5Jul 05, 2011 12:02 pm Thanks everyone. My main concern was that I would have to use some special high spec compound and that normal off the shelf products wouldn't be acceptable to the council inspector. Again, many thanks, Spike Re: Caulking an expansion joint 6Jul 05, 2011 12:34 pm The best caulking to use is ... get the builder to fix it! (My house uses Fuller's Caulk in Colours, but it could just as easily have been Shelleys No More Gaps Coloured Caulk.
