Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Jun 26, 2011 8:21 pm Hi there, does anyone know where I can buy a plastic sleeve or something similar for a 90x90m square post? I'm trying to build a removable post base and think that setting a sleeve in concrete may be the best way to do this? I've been doing some online searching but have come up empty. Any idea where in Melbourne I could get my hands on something like this? Alternative ideas are also appreciated! Thanks, bmac Re: Where can I buy plastic sleeve for 90x90mm square post 2Jun 26, 2011 8:27 pm Just get a block of polystyrene cut to size and cast that in the concrete. Leave for a few days then dig out the polystyrene with a wrecking bar. The Harder You Try - the Luckier You Get ! Some building suppliers also have it you may have to glue a couple of sheets together to get the right thickness. The Harder You Try - the Luckier You Get ! I would be using a post base bolted to the finished concrete and mounting the timber post on that -- unless I am looking at this from the wrong perspective.
