With the weather we're having in New Zealand today I can say without a doubt i'm most looking forward to living in a warm, dry house! Double glazing, insulation, extractor fans and heating! Only 2 weeks to go till moving day. also looking forward to cooking with a gas hob, a fully fenced garden for the dog, no more peach coloured walls, no more manky old carpets...just to name a few Re: What are you most looking forward to? 66Aug 15, 2011 6:57 pm no more pesky real estate managers and "inspections" and COOKING WITH GAS Oh how I miss you ! Re: What are you most looking forward to? 67Aug 23, 2011 5:58 pm Jeremyheyes Never have to move again. ditto and it all being over!!!!! Re: What are you most looking forward to? 69Aug 23, 2011 8:17 pm I currently live with my brother in my mums house (she moved in with her boyfriend). Our build will be finished early next year. I am looking forward to: no dog hair on anything (he stays at this house!) a garage (currently park on front lawn) peace and quiet (my brother breeds birds, rabbits, chickens etc so there is constant noise and filth) no clutter (my brother is a plumber and the whole house has tools, piping, random crap everywhere) He ripped the bathroom out 3 years ago and is yet to renovate only a shower in there. I live in my bedroom here (smallest bedroom out of 3) and I have a bar fridge in here for drinks and thats about it. Cant wait for my 30square house to be completed! http://lindeman28.blogspot.com - Our building blog Re: What are you most looking forward to? 70Feb 03, 2012 8:05 pm Eiffel I am most looking forward to: living in our own house again not having to worry about the kids in a rental house not having to worry about the dog in the garden of a rental house not living next door to our landlord an insulated & therefore warm house warm bathroom, partic, in the mornings big kitchen with heaps of bench space no bright green laminex in the kitchen being able to hang all of our prints/pictures up having a garage and direct access into the house and most of all - feeling settled and not having to pack/move for years!! I thought I would revive this thread..... My list is pretty similar to what I wrote above....although we have moved out of the rental and are living with my parents at the moment... Am just looking forward to having our own place again and not feel like we are living out of suitcases!! Can't wait for all the room to spread out in - hopefully it's not too far away!! Next month???? Our building thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=51657 Re: What are you most looking forward to? 72Feb 05, 2012 9:28 am After what seems like forever we are just looking forward to having our own house again A bank is a place that will lend you money only if you can prove that you don't need it... Re: What are you most looking forward to? 73Feb 05, 2012 10:23 am last move. Counted 11 different premises I have lived in since I first moved out of my childhood home 40 years ago. THIS IS IT. Re: What are you most looking forward to? 74Feb 05, 2012 10:46 am Great idea to revive this thread Eiffel I can't wait to have my wardrobe in my room, My place is very small so just having the space and storage is going to be fantastic the verandah's around the house Pathways around the house and a proper driveway (we have a farm so limestone drive at the moment) A garage to park the cars and a remote control for the garage door a place for my spa, our spa has been out in the open, I love using it but often it is to hot or too cold or raining or blaring hot sun or strong wind......soon it will have a alfresco to live in. To be able to get out of the spa and just walk in to my bedroom and ensuit with the double shower We have had some of these things before on other properties and while we were setting up this place over the last few years it was ok not having them but now I am well and truly ready to have a little bit of comfort and luxury Thank you. That is really helpful. Once we get the place done and passed for OC we can upgrade in the future once we get back on our feet and not paying mortgage and rent. 4 5727 The worst thing you can do is sign a building contract without a pre contract review.
