Re: Where to find a certain tile in Perth 3Jun 12, 2011 3:50 pm There is a company called the Tile Library, think NOR somewhere, apparently he generally has stock of discontinued or hard to fine tiles. Charges a bit more for them, cos generally people have no other choice! Give him a go! I googled the name of your tile, and this http://www.premiertile.com.au/trevi-avorio-336x336 came up, not sure if its the same or just similar name? I will try the place up north, ya that link , no they arent the same, ours are more beige, and are 450x450, think I am going to have a problem getting more as they where only suppose to be for ventura, well that what they said anyway Did find them I think when I was googling them (bit hard to tell on the internet) but that was in melbourne. bit far to go for 3 boxes of tile My building thread viewtopic.php?f=1&t=25279 NEARLY DONE. KEYS ON 5/11 AT 1PM Re: Where to find a certain tile in Perth 5Jun 12, 2011 6:08 pm oo I was going to mention that place zarli. it used to be in balcatta somewhere years ago. Camyperth Are you sure you can't ask the V mob where they came from? How did you pick them? I know when we went to select tiles we had to go to different tile places on the builders list and then take the details back to the builder. Ya we did pick tiles from a tile shop, but when we got to pre start we saw theses ones V had in their show room and went with them instead, We have 4 1/2 boxes here allready that where left overs, but it looks like we will be about 2 boxes short, 3 to be on the safe side. I will ring them tomorrow but dont hold out much hope, as they have not been very helpfull since we moved in. My building thread viewtopic.php?f=1&t=25279 NEARLY DONE. KEYS ON 5/11 AT 1PM Re: Where to find a certain tile in Perth 7Jun 12, 2011 6:38 pm ah well fingers crossed for you. There might be soem around. you could also try gumtree and the quokka etc and see if anyone else who has built with ventura has any they don't want. 4 1/2 boxes left over is rather a lot. you might be able to persuade several people to part with a box each if others have just as many leftover. Would V tell you the names of anyone who might have some? ( hmm doubt this as it's a privacy issue) Re: Where to find a certain tile in Perth 8Jun 12, 2011 8:18 pm Is it Fidama Avorio tiles you are after? http://www.thetilepeople.com.au/TIL_bro ... lowres.pdf page 6.... you could ring them and see if they would ship to WA??? Perhaps try contacting Prime and see if it was one of theirs and if so, whether they still have any? Good luck Re: Where to find a certain tile in Perth 11Jun 15, 2011 8:15 am CA3105 Not sure if it was the case back when you selected, but V now uses Prime Tiling tiles. KEYS ON 5/11 AT 1PM Re: Where to find a certain tile in Perth 12Jun 15, 2011 3:16 pm Camy I called Tile Library yesterday as I am looking for a particular tile my mother in law used in her house they built 5-6 yrs ago. He said I would haveto come in to check his stock, and for a qauntity of 30-40 tiles which is what I need, he charges a minimum of $12 PER tile! The tiles are only 200x200 very plain tiles from Dale Alcocks base selection range. Now i don't know what a tile normally costs but that seems awfully expensive? Give him a miss Zarli, atleast thats what I would do, thats waaay to much. My tiles (dated 4/10) and (now I have found them) are costing $25 sqm and that is for a 450 x450 We should start up a tile swap forum, with all the people that have tiles they dont want, its handy to have a few extras, which we did have untill we decided to do another room with them. But have ordered plenty so will still have some left overs. Have you taken it to any of the the tile shops to see if they could tell you where you might find them?
