Hi all, I thought I would get some first hand advice before I go speak to sales people
We have about half - 3/4 of an acre to mow. It's all flat. What should I be looking for in a mower?
Thanks

Look for a reputable brand, DP works at an motorbike & agricultural shop and he is always talking about the crappy cheap ride ons they get in to be fixed and return all the time for problems and how he never sees many faults with the bigger brand names, they are usually operator caused! 2nd build here we come in Whittlesea! https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=92617 1st Build - Henley - Cooper in Doreen! Toro cycler would be the best one to buy. It costs only 350$ to be bought. It is very smooth and doesn't need much push. I am sure you will enjoy with it . Thanks We have been using John Deere ride-ons for many years (commercially) and it does a brilliant job on our 3/4 acre block and very large naturestrips Turning circle is important if you don't want to be going backwards and forwards all the time, we mow our block in no time at all Re: What ride on mower 5Jun 17, 2011 4:28 pm Hi, we have been busily researching the same question and decided on a Greenfield ride-on as they last forever and seem to hold their value, which suggests that the older ones are still going strong. I definitely wouldnt be wanting to use a push mower with that size of land, even if it was gas propelled. But thats just me. |
