Cos I knew somebody who one time in heavy rain had water lapping at their door. Ours is 150mm lower than the house, so is the alfresco slab. As long as you're not at the bottom of a hill, you should be fine. Maybe some extra drainage across the entrance to the garage would be a good idea, just to be safe? Perhaps get some expert advice. There are two large steps up to the house We've built 3 times and each time, the garage slab has been poured at a later date and doesn't form part of the house slab.
