Hi folks
This is the first winter we have been in this house (a renovated weatherboard). We are noticing quite a lot of condensation compared to previous houses we have lived in.
I know it has something to do with the outside temp vs. the inside temp but I honestly can't remember the scientifics behind it ( ).
Anyway, just wondering if there is something we can do to minimise the condensation. Our window sills are often sitting in a pool of water and if we let it continue without treatment or adjustments, we will no doubt have rotting window frames in a year or two.
Not sure if opening a window overnight (brrrrr in winter) would help - or turning heater on/off earlier??? Or what? It seems to be mostly on our eastern and southern facing windows.
Thanks for any input or help.
