Browse Forums General Discussion 1 May 06, 2011 2:08 pm My neighbour is the neighbour from hell. I won't bore with details but basically he is a bully who torments me and an elderly lady day in day out around the clock. He once dug up his front yard to fix sewage pipes and had it (wet sewage) all over my drive. I was OK with it because I am a good neighbour and he had just moved in. Mind you he left it on my drive for a full day before I had to clean it up (not he). He has to work on sewage again and this time I AM NOT OK with it. What are my rights regarding this sort of mess spilling on my yard? Can I force them to somehow not get it on my property? Force them to have to put up something to stop the mess? Basically I want to make it hard for him this time. And I don't want to give him an inch. Re: Sewage (from neighbours repair work) spilling on my prop 3May 06, 2011 2:51 pm I think digging up concil property is an offence. Call them out. Re: Sewage (from neighbours repair work) spilling on my prop 8Jun 11, 2011 1:31 pm There would be more than likely council regulations r.e. containment of mess from construction etc on one's property. IMO if he was doing anything else he'd have to keep any mess within his property boundry, and would have to do so also. The health side is concerning though... contact with raw sewerage can hospitalise people. Building Masterton Overture Re: Sewage (from neighbours repair work) spilling on my prop 9Jul 04, 2012 6:20 pm Neighbour From Hell well do we have one, well I should say A CHILD FROM HELL he is in his late 50’s and acts like a little kid “or should say SIMPLTON” he has threatened me, egged my work van, tried yes I said tried to intimidate my wife and I at a shopping centre the cops told us to put cameras up so we did and now he yells out in our street that we are paedophiles and also puts a sign out the front of his house that we are filming kids 24/7 this guy has such a mental problem. Any way there so to tell but I would just fill up this site and that wouldn’t be fair so to tell our story I have made up a website to tell our story just go to www.neighbourfromhell.net.tc and there you will see all the video’s, pictures and stories about this dipshit and what he has done to us thanks for your time. Re: Sewage (from neighbours repair work) spilling on my prop 10Jul 04, 2012 7:24 pm As B Star said, he is the "owner" of the sewerage pipes on his property. However unless he is a registered plumber he cannot do any work on the sewerage system. Any work requires a certificate of compliance depending on the amount. I would be contacting your local local water/sewerage authority and informing them of what is occurring, as they will have appropriate action they can take.
