Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Apr 28, 2011 9:57 am Hi, Just had a laminate floor installed in our house and we have noticed that there are some areas that creak and bounce when stood upon. It's been laid on a concrete slab which is feven and flat. We spoke to the installer and he mentioned that laminate takes about a month to settle for all the bounciness and creaks to disappear. Has anyone else that installed laminate experienced this and if so, has the bounciness and creaks disappeared over time? Re: Laminate Floor Installation 2Apr 28, 2011 10:22 am Didnt notice any bouncing in ours when we had it laid, but we did have some creaking and I must admit have not noticed it recently. Maybe give it some time to alclimatise. Site Start: 10th September, 2010 PCI : Friday 27th January, 2011. I have a vague memory of a couple of spots with a bit of bounce to them, but they must have settled in, because I haven't given it a thought for the past couple of years.
