Please, please, please can someone help me with my roof colour? We are about to start building and are are going around in circles. We have chosen Boral Grey Nuance for bricks with Surfmist windows, eaves and facia - all these choices we are completely happy with. However, the roof and guttering colour are driving me crazy. We had sort of settled on Windspray for roof and Woodland Gray for gutters. We also have a render feature on our house which i had chosen Dulux Self-Destruct for.
Our house is on a little bit of land and in a modern "country" style ie. skillion verandas around. I was envisaging a farm house in the French countryside as inspiration.
The only problem is that the colours ive mentioned above look fantastic in little swatches, but i really cant picture them in reallife. We have looked at our bricks on real houses and are more than happy with those, but the real houses with Windspray roofing look really blue, and none of the bricks are anything like ours, so its so hard to compare. I was hoping the Woodland Gray gutters would break it up a little bit, but after a comment i received from the Boral salesperson im really second guessing our decisions. My other thought was Shale Gray, but i think this will be too much of a contrast with the Woodland Gray gutters. Ahhhhrrrggggg!
Ive only found one other person on this forum with a Windspray roof and their brick was quite yellow/sandstone looking so it really isnt the same.
Any opinions or advice would be very much appreciated.
