I have called and emailed at least a dozen fencer/fencing company in Sydney, they all took my details, promised to show up at an agreed time to give me a quote but none of them have shown up until today! I have been trying for 2 weeks now. I have followed up with calls and emails only to go through the same circle of "we'll be there on x day at 5 pm" but comes the day no one turns up. Why is it very difficult to find a good fencer who will actually turn up? I am after a colorbond fence (a short one) and a gate for the backyard. If you can recommend me a good fencer, I'll very much appreciate it. Have a blessed easter! Only for you to decide that it's to dear and you don't want to pay that much. Why don't you offer to pay the tradesman for their time driving to your place, spending time with you discussing the job, driving back home/office, spend 2 hrs working on a quote(usually at 9pm after the kids have gone to bed), and then sending out to you (not to mention fuel costs). Can you see why it's not all that appealing to them. Offer each tradie $44 to quote the job, watch how many turn up then...and get back to with a price. My advice is DO NOT offer anyone any money to give you a quote, just browse google & there are many good businesses that actually offer to give YOU free quotes & who are genuinly interested in getting your business. Also, have a look at the classifieds section of your local paper, that's usually a good start. If we start to offer people money for quotes, then these people probably should not be in the business or are not successful enough or professional to stay in the field. All of the fencers I have contacted they ADVERTISE their business either online or in local newspaper as giving free quotes. The most irritating thing is they say they'll come on a certain date and then not show up. It would have been better if they just say upfront they can't come. We have had businesses giving us free quote for timber flooring and built in wardrobe, all showed up on agreed date and time and we proceeded with both quotes. Only with fencers we are still struggling. 9 24751 Thank you. Do I use timber floorboards for stairs or do people use timber treads? Or is both the same? 6 7255 Hi, I have had them in the past and the pros are: Versatile, i.e many different colours and styles to choose… 1 6861 |
