Pretty comon for just about every mechanical workshop foyer area to have that chequered look. Its as if in the business manual it says to not forget it! If you are going to do any home servicing or maintainance in a garage, i strongly recommend painting the floor but. I self painted my current garage floor 4 years ago, and spills from all range of chemicals and oils are cleaned up without a trace. Can even leave them for a few days and still just wipe them off. Still a nice grey colour like the day it was painted on, compared to plain concrette which will look a mess with any drop of oil/power steering fluid/coolant etc in no time. (i used berger jet dry. it was easy to use, and wasnt hard to work with like some of those two part epoxy setups can be). that hook style dexion shelving definately isnt cheap! The best bet is to scour ebay, as there is often a fair bit of it on there. New you are looking at selling your first born to pay to deck out a garage. TOUGHEN UP PRINCESS Re: Show me your garage 12Apr 19, 2011 9:28 am deeps Anyone know where I can get those Track hook systems for cheap? Not sure if this is cheap enough but here's another pic from the phone, so much easier to keep track of all the stuff you see along the way. From a major retailer They also from memory have ones from the same company that do their kitchens. All are building block type deals I think, this pic I took a month or so ago. Re: Show me your garage 13Apr 19, 2011 10:20 am Not able to do photos but here is a plan of what I hope it to look like. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ We also have 5 of these units in our shed at the minute. got them from Costco for $86 each and they are rated to 120kg per shelf. most only rated to 75kg for a similar price or $200-300 per unit for higher rated. Hoping to go and get some more when we move back in. We'll also have a 6x3-3.5m shed in the rear yard, so I'm thinking another 3 hammerlock ones to keep it neat. They can also be setup at half height as benches Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Also going to add some sort of fuel resistant coating o the floor with a whitish color. Re: Show me your garage 14Apr 19, 2011 10:46 am Check out graysonline.com.au and search on shelving also there's some industrial type gear which may suit. We get a stack of stuff from Grays. Re: Show me your garage 16Apr 19, 2011 4:44 pm Titch101 ChrisandKate - Where is that heavy duty shelving from (the blue and yellow one) and how much does it cost?? Thats the sort of thing I'm looking for for my garage to sit next to my workbench, There are a few places that do very similar products. Ours came from a place in Noble Park. Price wise ours is 2000mm wide x 2000mm high x 600mm deep. The good thing about that height is you can put boxes on top too. Mate has one that is 3m high and had to cut it don to fit in his new place. It was on special for $250ish I think but is around $320 retail. Ours is rated to 200kg per shelf/800kg total. Look for full metal shelves not wooden as they hold more and the more bracing across the shelves the higher the rating also. I think you can get them up to 1200kg per unit. I'll just check where (PRO TIP) If you put your location in your profile (Not in the state field in ACTUAL LOCATION) It helps when people are looking to recommend traders./rant Look on Ebay for Kmate, factory-one, United Storage Shelving. They all have versions of them. The main thing you want is the steel shelf tops with braced shelves. Also having feet with pre drilled holes for bolting down helps too. Also there are many, many sizes. They come in half sized bays and you can even buy them as add ons so if you move you can get an extra bit rated to the same that will just bolt on to the existing one. Obviously its cheaper to buy more at once though. Re: Show me your garage 17Apr 19, 2011 4:53 pm I just found one in Shepparton. I personally would not buy from user name "aussiestoragecentre" as the shelving they claim will hold 300kg per shelf is about half the size steel of my 200kg per shelf and theirs has particle board shelves.
