We are building our new home and have just had our excavation done. According to the benching plan we should have had .5m cut on one side and .5m fill on the other (nice and even), however they have cut .8m and only filled .15m generating 60-100 tonne of fill (Anyone in Helensburgh requiring clean fill?) at a cost of $5000 to dispose of
We are now lower in the block by 300mm and will require a retaining wall 30 metres long.
My questions are:
Who is at fault ?
would this still comply with council as we are lower overall or will it need to be ammended?
does the cost lay with us or the company as they have cut deeper and filled less?
is this normal?
any comments are welcome
thanks
