So you wont need to travel far. Being such a small block, you are going to be limited as to which designs you can put on your block. Looking at your budget. $360000-$192000 = $168000. I'm guessing $168k will include extras, landscaping, stamp duty etc etc. So really you want to look at designs with a base price of around $120k - $130k. How many bedrooms do you need, how wide is your block, etc etc. lots of variables before you can go from there. Once you have picked 2-3 homes that you like and you can build, then you can start selecting the builder. At the end of the day, all the builders are pretty much the same. You will read horror stories about all of them. Just remember that people generally write about bad experiences, rather than good. At the end of the day, it comes down to the individuals that work on your home. Evey builder has good and bad CSO's, and good and bad build crews.
