How much was it to install the ceiling fans and mirrored sliding wardrobe doors? Re: Confused please help me to knowHow is Carlisle home builder? 83Jul 19, 2007 12:54 pm Looks FANTASTIC Hardy. Love the colours. Very very similar to ours (Kitchen & Render) Man, how big is that fridge space. I just posted on another thread that I couldn't believe how HUGE it is, but now looking at the pic Love the Tiles throughout the house Hope you have BIG mats in your entrances with all that mud around. We went for a Jarrah Laminate (Hope it looks as good) Couple of variations I see in the kitchen with the sink & microwave space moved which is a good idea. We loved the little box lights down the stairway as well (added those) Same Facade as ours (Timber windows as well). Looks Great! Funky coloured lights above the island bench. We weren't that daring. Like it though. Overall, excellent work. Now all you have to do is fill it. Cheers, Mike. Re: Confused please help me to knowHow is Carlisle home builder? 85Jul 22, 2007 6:16 pm Hi Hardy,
Love you porclein tiles, they look fabulous and the colour gives out a beautiful rich hue to the rooms. Ditto for the carpet, we have selected a similar colour, it should wear very well. Also VERY nice stone bench top, great colour, chunky and definately in vogue at the moment. The house design is very similiar to the style of housing at Edgewater in Maribyrnong, very nice modern style that will not date (IMHO) Pity the builder did not throw in free landscaping so you could move in and every thing completed...some do , some dont( although you often rip up what they did 6 months down the track ) You should feel very proud of your house Mrs B Re: Confused please help me to knowHow is Carlisle home builder? 86Jul 22, 2007 6:25 pm Hardy,

Thanks, Regards, Hardy Re: Confused please help me to knowHow is Carlisle home builder? 88Jul 30, 2007 2:10 pm Hi Hardy!
I'd say your house is adorable! Nice job. I just "discovered" this website and is simply a treasure for me. I ,too, have shortlisted Carlisle Homes to build our homes in Berwick. Well, it's also the Bordeaux for us I did fell in love with it the first time I saw it! Since our land won't be ready until January, Carlisle is just so helpful to hold the price for us. I agree with you guys, Warren and Ashley in Cranbourne are simply great... cheers, hannah Re: Confused please help me to knowHow is Carlisle home builder? 89Jul 30, 2007 2:32 pm Hey Hannah.
Welcome to the forum We are also building the Bordeaux 40 in Berwick (hopefully starting in the next couple of weeks) & as you said Warren & Ash are extremely helpful with whatever you need to know. They have also been fantastic with our colour & tendor appointments & contract stage. From there on we are yet to know but as you can tell by others on this forum, they are more than happy with their service. I notice they have increased the base price of the Bordeaux by 4k this month (from $223,900 to $227,900). Might be why they have kept that as a fixed price for you until Jan. Not sure. Please keep us updated on your progress. Cheers, Mike. Feedbacks/advices from this forum will help you to make some of the difficult decision for your dream home. When I started constructing our home (process of hunting good builder and good home ) a year back we had no clue how good "Carlisle homes" are? Then we talk to few people who already build with Carlisle and jump on this forum to get other people feedbacks. Carlisle staff are very helpful and accommodating, they will help you with good advice. This forum is just too good with real experience and good advice from experts and end users. It's being only 3 weeks since we moved in our new home and so far so good. Will provide you more feedback as we goes.... Good luck with your land and hopefully everything will go well with your building process. Re: Confused please help me to knowHow is Carlisle home builder? 91Jul 30, 2007 4:34 pm Hi Hannah,
Welcome to the ride that is "Carlisle Homes"... Ours has been good so far. Well done! Spoke to Warren and , yeah, he's a really nice salesman and person.

We saw Warren again yesterday! The man NEVER stops smiling! Re: Confused please help me to knowHow is Carlisle home builder? 95Aug 01, 2007 12:03 pm Is he sick of seeing you yet Matt??
I've seen him a fair bit over the last couple of months too but I'm guessing not as much as you. You're right though. It looks like he does love his job. Cheers, Mike. Out of the guys & girls building / built with Carlisle (Matt especially), who is getting pre wiring done before the plaster goes up?? ie. Coax / RF / Cat5 / speaker etc... If so, do you have an option to do it yourself / have your own sparky do it or do you have no option other than the builders allocated electrician?? I'm wanting to set up a home theatre in the rumpus room, also more coax for Foxtel to other TV's. I can save plenty by doing the pre wiring myself but Carlisle told us it had to be done by their guy when he installs the telephone line. Be interested if other builders give you the option or not as well. Cheers, Mike. My Blog... http://ahouseonthehill.blogspot.com/ Re: Confused please help me to knowHow is Carlisle home builder? 97Aug 03, 2007 1:56 pm Hi Mike,
I have done prewiring in my theater room, family room, Cat5e with my sparky. I also done pre wiring for ducted vacuum, security system and intercom system at the same time with my own sparky. I just talk to supervisor before doing it and he was cool with it. You will save heaps doing with your own or with your sparky. Telephone connection I have done with Carlisle advised company (Know communication). So all was cool, only thing is I have to buy stuff for theater room, which I can't buy due to short of budget which is NOT COOL at the moment regards, Hardy Re: Confused please help me to knowHow is Carlisle home builder? 98Aug 03, 2007 4:00 pm hardy So all was cool, only thing is I have to buy stuff for theater room, which I can't buy due to short of budget which is NOT COOL at the moment regards, Hardy So what you need is a cheaper supplier Re: Confused please help me to knowHow is Carlisle home builder? 99Aug 03, 2007 4:24 pm Thanks Hardy.
They were telling me porky pies then. Did you ask the question before you started to build or only when you spoke to the supervisor? I think I'll be in the same boat as you, having to wait for the LCD / Plasma, but definately want the wiring done now. Cheers, Mike.
