Hi,
I did a quick search but couldn't find the topic.
I've got a Draftsman/Designer helping design a small townhouse on small block. Area has heritage overlay, flood plane overlay & under 300sq conditions applicable.
He is working with a local town planner who has good ties & push in the local council.
He is charging $90 per hr inc gst. Is this average? I didn't search for other designers because of the links between him and the town planner who recommended him. But I dont want to get ripped off either.
So far he has spent about 24hrs total including on site, measuring existing house, photos of the other properties and a floorplan & external drawing. He has come up with preliminary schematics, footprint/drawings for the planner to briefly present to council before we proceed further.
This is costing me about 2k, sound reasonable?
