With our build, the Builder doesn't offer quad point power points as an option. We want a number of these upgraded to 4 point, so we contacted the contractor who's doing the electrical install - they quoted $98 per point to upgrade, and we want about 8 of them!
The points themselves aren't that expensive, you can buy 5 points as a bundle for about that price...
My question is, assuming regular appliances (no high amp draw welders, air-con etc), would they be doing any further upgrade to the wiring to supply the 4 power points at all? Or would the standard line to the 2 point suffice?
Because I'd rather give a different sparkie cash on the side to upgrade the points I supply than pay the extortionate upgrade price of the electricans doing the first fix..
