You can see one of our beams at the open end of the deck. It has the weatherboards on the outside to match the house cladding. On the inside it is plain fibro and they've screwed it straight to the steel beam. They just used corner trims to cover the edges. You can see the screw heads and it isn't the prettiest, but now that all that area is finished off and painted it really isn't noticeable.
