Cheers Steve & Jay Steve & Jay, we have found that Henley say different things depends who you talk to there. Our house is 7 years old and we have had many workmanship problems over time. Infact we are going to VCAT later this month for 3 structural matters that Henley are arguing don't fall under the warranty. Our Barrister specialising in domestic building informed us that the law is 10 years for the warranty, Henley always told us 7 but since lodging our case at VCAT they now agree that it is 10 years. For these guys and the sort of slap dash workmanship we have experienced, you will need at least 10 years.
