Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Feb 20, 2011 4:19 pm Is there anyone out there in belvedere hills ,wanneroo?? Have you recieved your landscpaing yet?? We got our keys in september and we are having so much trouble trying to get them to do it. Now we are finding out that what was supposed to be a $4000 landscaping package will consist of just lawn and reticulation. Also they are impossible to contact. Please let me know if you are in the same boat or have advice. Re: Any one in belvedere hills wanneroo??? 2Mar 15, 2011 3:37 pm Hi djembe, We had handover of our house in Belvedere Hills last November. Our neighbours gave us the heads up on how diificuilt it was to get in touch with the relevant people to arrange for the landscaping to be done. I called the contact at Benchmark Projects who was listed on annexure B who gave me [individual's name edited out] number. This is where I believe all the trouble is coming from. We submitted our Annexure to [individual's name edited out] at the begining of december 2010 and have still not received any feedback at all, this even after resending the annexure, 2 faxes, 6 or 7 phone calls I have no idea what the hold up is, we were promised mid feb then end of feb. still nothing. Have you had any luck? As for the $4,000 I believe this was just a sales pitch, a.k.a a blatent lie. If 35sqm of wintergreen, two scoops of mulch and substandard retic to the front equates to $4,000 there must be a hell of alot of "admisitration" going on behind the scenes to get it done! It is coming to a point where Im about to get Consumer Protection Division at Dept of Commerce involved. Hopefully this will shake things up a bit. Re: Any one in belvedere hills wanneroo??? 3Mar 16, 2011 12:29 am I have also had similar issues with Isak Ellison as has several others in my street and a friend who is also in Belvidere Hills. I have contacted Isak and Satterley many times trying to get my front yard sorted and have made no progress at all. It appears that there is one contractor carrying out the landscaping at Belvidere Hills, that is why it is taking so long. Don't know what to do next to resolve this issue. A few of my neighbours have mentioned petitions and contacting a lawyer. Re: Any one in belvedere hills wanneroo??? 4Mar 16, 2011 8:35 am After countless phone calls to [individual's name edited out] (who pretended not to know who we were everytime we called!) and numerous emails my husband finally managed to get the landscapers direct number. About a week and a half ago I called consumer protection to get some advice. I was just about to get all my paperwork together and fill out a complaint when my husband finally got a call back from the landscaper. We met with him and the landscaping was done a week later. Though I have to say it is definately not $4000 worth. We have mostly lawn (winter green) and mulch. We got 10 SMALL plants but that was only because we already had a reticulation controller box installed for our back garden which cost us $600. (My back yard cost me just under $3000 for lawn, reticulation, mulch and about 100 large native plants - and my backyard is 3 times the size of my front!!!!!!!!!!!!) Re: Any one in belvedere hills wanneroo??? 5Mar 16, 2011 12:12 pm I just spoke to the manager at Gucce Holdings and she said the developer has gone into receivership and one of the parties involved in the joint venture is still paying for our landscaping. She said this would be a slow process and couldn't give me a date when my order would be placed or when the work could be started. She also said that they didn't even have to pay for the landscaping and we were lucky that one of the developers is "doing the right thing by us" and paying for it. I think I have done all I can to get this work done, not sure what else can be done... Re: Any one in belvedere hills wanneroo??? 6Mar 16, 2011 1:44 pm They do have to do it ,it is part of your contract and although the contract doesn't specify the dollar amount of the landscaping package it says that you will be provided with lawn, reticulation and water wise garden beds. I would call consumer protection. Re: Any one in belvedere hills wanneroo??? 7Mar 18, 2011 3:51 pm We're in Belvedere hills too, moving in this weekend.. I called them last week and they said to fax through the annexure and the landscaper will be in contact with us in about 2 weeks.. It then takes a further week and the landscaping gets done... I was told there is only one company/guy doing it, but there was no mention that the devlopers had gone into receivership or anything... If anyone is going to go to consumer protection or whatever, get a signed petition or something from the neighbourhood along the lines of that although not stated we were told the landscaping package would amount to $4,000..? Re: Any one in belvedere hills wanneroo??? 9Mar 18, 2011 4:35 pm Consumer protection told me to get all my documentation together (ie the contract, evidence of phone calls and emails) and also to fill out a complaints form (available to download from their site) Re: Any one in belvedere hills wanneroo??? 10Aug 18, 2011 9:00 pm Hi Guys, I'm on Paltara Way and have had a case with Consumer Affairs for around 12 months now, Unfortunately I was not contact-able for part of the year and the case was put on hold. I have been advised by Andy (The Landscaper) that the developer has not been paying him for his work and therefore will not continue/start any works until he is paid for what he has done. Andy advised he has between 20-30 jobs waiting for him. I have today emailed my contact at consumer affairs to re-open the case since I received this info from Andy, I ask if anyone is waiting for the landscaping to be completed at their property or have paid for the landscaping themselves email Paul Cvejic at consumer affairs on [ paul.cvejic@commerce.wa.gov.au ] my complaint reference number is 63870, if you place this in the subject line, consumer affairs should be able to identify the case. Thanks Re: Any one in belvedere hills wanneroo??? 11Aug 18, 2011 9:19 pm Wow, big_beedo, i cannot believe that it is still going on. I was fortunate enough to get ours (after much complaining) in march. Pretty average agrden though for supposed $4000 package. PM me if you need any one to give further accounts of the debarcle even though I got mine in the end. Hope that you get your garden eventually. Re: Any one in belvedere hills wanneroo??? 12Sep 09, 2011 1:25 am hi guys, I'm glad to hear some views from people in the same boat as myself and my girlfriend. we moved into our new house on wyatt in may 2011. we contacted everyones good friend, [individual's name edited out] quite some time before that. my girlfriend dealt with him at the beginning, until when trying to get some sort of time frame on our landscaping, he insulted and hung up on her twice. i myself have been dealing with him since and have got the old story its at the landscaper, its not my problem, it's the landscaper. i googled landscaping in belvedere hills and got this forum. I was going to contact consumers affairs/ a solicitor next and would be grateful if anyone can give some tips to go with above pointers. thanks for your time and help. Re: Any one in belvedere hills wanneroo??? 13Sep 20, 2011 6:18 pm Why doesn't someone contact today tonight / a current affair.... Those shows LOVE stuff like this and hopefully with some bad public press, something will get done about it for you all still waiting. I don't know about your contracts but mine has a clause with a timeframe to get my fencing and landscaping done.. So just be careful you don't get strung along for a long time and then they try to turn around and say "sorry you've missed your deadline" .. My building forum: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=49650&p=756654#p756654 Building the 'Ultimate St Marks' with Home Buyers Centre I had an old shower unit that broke on me and when I took it off, there were only 2 water pipes, instead of the normal 2 water pipes and a shower head pipe. Appreciate it. Its gives us a very idea. Kind Regards 4 3666 |
