The bricks (urban one - almond) gradually got worse as the build went on, not only did the 'coating' continue to come off, but they also started to go a green colour, making them look mouldy. As promised though, Mirvac and Austral fixed the bricks, Austral sent a company around and the guy basically hand coated each brick using a small paint brush Unbelievable! pace The guy from this company did say this happens with A LOT of the 'coated' bricks, not just Austral, so make sure you choose wisely. I know very little (or knew very little - I know a lot more now!!) about bricks - I didn't even realise they were 'coated'. I wouldn't of known to ask if the bricks are "coated". Its great that its sorted for you now! Hi JazzyJess, yes, you're right, like I said, I knew very little, or almost nothing about bricks prior to this. But really pleased with the bricks now, and pretty much really happy with everything - Mirvac were really good! 2 8363 I should have followed up on this thread. So, the pier foundation wasn't large enough on the side it was leaning towards, and the NBN cable went through the pier, just… 8 12130 Just be careful with building stability during construction, that is when the structure may be weakened, refer to your engineering drawings for stability methodology. 1 7231 |
