In either case any damage would be on the owner as damage would be unavoidable when trying to lift any part of the house. Similar to re doing house stumps. I'm just trying to draw the line between where the builder's "duty of care" ends and where the natural results of a raise begins?? If an Engineer signs off on the raise and advises that it has been done according to the specs - I'm assuming then, that any effects of the raise - such as cracks/movement - is then the owner's responsibility??
