Re: Clover - Bentleigh East progress? 30Mar 29, 2011 9:57 am rapidmoves th76 - Porter davis just called me last week - they have reviewed their building zones and will build in clover & charge 10k metro building fee. Don't adjust their homes though. I love their santana but too wide. We are looking at clarendon shellbourne. they will ammend and are looking at either taking some width out or adding size to the fernhill. Have also altered floor plans a little for me - seeing them tomorrow! Very excited Carslie did mention a surchage to me around that figure. Usually do not build in bentleigh east but making exception just for clover as they have 2 or 3 clients building. Neeli am very happy to have discovered you both on this forum and look forward to a toast when we all move in. Street party!!! I looked at custom builders but none could compete on price to volume builders - glad you found some good ones! We have spoken to Carlisle and obtained a quote from them. They will charge a $25k surcharge (discounted from $30k). But the sales person said if there are more and more people building with them, he may be able to ask for a bigger discount from the directors. I received a call on the 15 march from Meridith and Jamie at somerfield estate keysborough saying they would make an exception for clover. Try them if you are interested in PD. It would be great if they put out something for Clover (I think they might of done some for the Harcrest development in Wantirna), I'm sure there would be a few Clover people that would be intrested. If we have settlement in 4th Qtr of 2011 means will move in to new home in mid of 2012 .......... Haven't decided on a builder yet but we feel like we went and saw every display home out there over the last 6 months. Unfortunately none of them fits 100% so have been weighting up what are must haves and what we can live without ... Have you been visiting lots of display homes too? We found a great home and the builders have made changes so now it is perfect. Just saw the plans yesterday. The extra time has given us the opportunity to aim for perfect. What you looking for? - perhaps we can help on this forum? Everyone deserves their (affordable) dream home! We also thought we would have to do without something...honestly we are thus far thrilled with our ammended Clarendon design. Nice to meet you Lot 16! Now we are 5 out of 50! Unfortunately Changes with Big builders Plans will cost more money and some builders they wont do it ... Rapidmovers have you seen fairheaven homes ?? they have 2 story for 12.5M Block with Balcony .. if you want i will email plans ...... and base price got from them ... We wanted single to start with, but realised that because our land is over 500m2 the house can't occupy more than 50% of the land. Where as a land smaller than 500m2 can build upto 60%. Because our lot is the smallest 500m2+ it actually means the land next door which is 478 can build a bigger house than us !!! So we decided on double and have been visiting display homes ever since. We are after something that will have lots of naturally light, big kitchen and bedrooms ... seen lots of great designs, just not together in one house if you know what I mean. 8 6156 5 6823 The warning is on the sticker on the door too.
