Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Jan 07, 2011 9:55 pm So, I have just arrived home and seen the colour of what will be our retaining wall out of treated pine and steel rsj, however I am not loving the look of treated pine, I think I want to paint or stain them however tomorrow they will be started to be installed, I have left it too late and not sure what options I have. Is it okay to paint once they have been assembled, this way I will save paint as the back will be covered in dirt due to the retaining wall purpose, hmm.. suggestions please!! Moisture coming in from the back and then being evaporated o a hot day is too extreme a situation for any paint. The best thing would be a stain or decking oil type finish. Haven't tried it myself, just stole the idea from someone elses post.
